Biography
Tim has been CEO of Colony since November of 2021, helping to double the company in that time to 63 locations in 19 states. He has teamed with Colony’s founder, Michael Weiner, and AUDAX Private Equity, to maintain Colony Hardware’s culture while continuing to broaden the product lines and contractor trades the company serves.
Prior to joining Colony, Tim owned and grew two family businesses for nearly 10 years. He led another AUDAX portfolio company, Dura-Line, from 2009 to 2012, doubling revenues in 28 months. He has over 30 years of business experience, including 5 years with NVR/Ryan Homes after starting his career with GE, living and working in the US, The Netherlands, and in South Korea.
Tim lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with his wife of 36 years, Beth. They have three grown children and enjoy Ohio State football and family time fishing in Maine.
He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
